Nioka L. Jones Harrison, an experienced C-suite executive leader in Caribbean regional digital financial services, has had over 20+ years deep knowledge of Digital Payments, Project Management, Policy/Procedure Development and Maintenance; CRM, PCI/DSS and Card Operations.
As Manager of Card Products at Sagicor Group Jamaica Ltd. – Kingston, Jamaica and Manager, Client Loyalty/Leads Generation of the same institution, Ms. Harrison led the successful conversion of the Visa credit card portfolio to 100% Mastercard within the expected time frame and budget, while ensuring maintenance of rules, regulations, standards and best practices with all stakeholders, internal/external (IT, Marketing, Legal, Contact Centre, etc.) and also significantly Improved Retail & Commercial client portfolios across the Sagicor Group through the implementation of the Salesforce platform to support Sales campaigns
Prior to that, she was Product Manager, Business Cards & Co Brands and Asst. Manager, Marketing & Product Development, Non-Affinity of CIBC First Caribbean – Kingston, Jamaica.
In this senior management role, she was Project Manager for the full conversion and implementation of the premier Visa Debit Card (formerly Visa Electron) in the Cayman Islands database remotely.
She has received a number of awards in the course of her stellar finance career including CIBC Achievers’ Award (Leadership) in 2000 after successfully Supervised the Department managing the achievement of sales targets, maintaining service, accuracy of data, and 3rd Party relationships (e.g., FDMS, Discover, American Express), Instrumental in the testing of Point-Of-Sale & ABM for introduction of Multilink (JETS) in Jamaica.
She also- received Pro-Performer Award for Customer Service in 2005 as a result of astutely preparing and presenting reports to the Country Management Committee for FCIB Jamaica as far back as 2005, while leading a department of 10 people and fully supervising Card Centre Operations of CIBC First Caribbean – Kingston, JM as Acting Manager, Card Services.
She executed card product acquisition, usage and retention management for the region, for generic, business, Co-brands and Rewards for the Caribbean through the relevant teams (Corporate/Business Banking, Retail and the Cards/Payments) and received the Star Player Awards: Superior Individual Performance and Team Player from CIBC in 2008 & 2012.
She was also nominated for the prestigious Digital Financial Services Leader Award at the first ever Caribbean Women in Banking and Finance Awards announced in 2023.
Ms. Harrison academic qualifications include an MBA In Business Strategy from the Int’l MBA Inst. - Zurich, Switzerland, a BBA–Marketing (Honors) Utech - Kingston, an Honors Diploma in Project Management from the Ashworth College in Norcross, Georgia (USA).
She also has under her belt, respected professional certifications in Bankcard Mgmt./Visa Debit Product Management from Visa International - Miami, Fl and a Leading Digital Money Markets Certificate – Blockchain & Cryptocurrency from the Digital Frontiers Inst. – Cape Town, South Africa.
She is a Certified Six Sigma Champion from the Int’l Six Sigma Inst. - Zurich, Switzerland
